With proper care, your eyelash extensions can last 3-6 weeks. There are many factors in determining the life of the extensions, such as natural lash style, oiliness of hair, ingredients in products used such as shampoo or skin care, and physical activeness. Please see contraindications and aftercare instructions below before scheduling an appointment.
We only use pharmaceutical grade adhesives which are completely odorless. Neither the synthetic lash nor the glue ever comes in contact with your skin as extensions are glued about 1mm away from your skin.
You should thoroughly clean your lashes with a mild cleanser. Do not use an oily makeup remover to clean your lashes prior to the application. The adhesive will not stick. All makeup must be removed prior to arriving for your scheduled appointment. Lashes should not be curled or permed.
Yes, it is safe to receive eyelash extensions on tinted or dyed eyelashes. However, it is not recommended to tint, dye, or perm lashes after having the extensions applied.
Come in and let us professionally remove them with a special remover. Please do not attempt to remove them yourself as the glue is very strong. You will end up pulling the natural lash out and damaging the follicle which makes re-growth difficult.
Let the extensions slowly fall out by themselves. When the individual natural lash sheds, the extension goes with it. This could take up to 2 months.
Yes, you will need infill’s if you want to continue having fresh full, complete eyelash extensions. You should have infill’s every 2-4 weeks or more often if you want or think you need it.Contraindications It is suggested that if you are an eye rubber for any reason, then eyelash extensions may not suit you. If you use prescribed medicated eye drops or ointment this may coat the lashes and cause them to clump.
The eyelash growth cycle and it is hard to determine which lash is ready to fall out naturally. Each day we can lose between 3-5 natural eyelashes, nut usually we don’t notice when they fall out. But when eyelash extensions are applied, we are more aware when they shed as eyelash extensions are darker and thicker. If you sleep on your side, you face will squash against the pillow and may cause the eyelashes on that side to fall out quicker than the other side.
We order directly from a manufacturer that private labels for many lash companies in the states and can provide manufacturer safety data sheets upon request. Many manufacturers call their products “mink” and “silk” but most are synthetic. We use 100% polyester fiber extensions. They are called “mink” and “silk” to differentiate between the different types but they are not actually made of those materials, they’re synthetic. We stock an extremely wide variety of lash lengths, thicknesses and curls. This ensures that we can give you the look that’s right for you, not just what’s popular.
We use an adhesive called a cyanoacrylate. This kind of adhesive is indicated for use of semi-permanent lash extension application.
Yes. Some clients experience a slight tenderness of the eyelid right after the initial application. If this tenderness or tightness does occur, no need to worry. It will soften within a day or two. Some people can develop an allergic reaction to the adhesive (5% of the population is allergic to cyanoacrylates). It usually presents after 3-4 exposures (3-4 months after initial application) to the adhesive.
YES! We believe that lash extensions should make your life easier, not complicated with restrictions. The only product we ask you to avoid is waterproof mascara, as it is extremely hard to remove and builds up around the extensions.
Absolutely not! You won’t have to worry about mascara running any longer. Go swimming, get a facial, or relax in a sauna. Our lash extensions hold up well with water and humidity. Excessive enjoyment of these activities cause more “wear and tear” on lash extensions but do not need to be avoided.
